The Ocicat came about when Mrs. Virginia Daly from Michigan, USA in 1964, was hoping to produce an 'Aby' pointed Siamese,   In the second generation a beautiful spotted boy was a surprise.  A repeat of that mating produced produced a female who became the foundation of the new breed named 'Ocicat" as Mrs. Daly's daughter likened the coat pattern to an Ocelot.  How lucky we are that other breeders joined the long process of getting our breed recognised.

Ocicats are gentle, fun loving and intelligent.  They love to interact with their humans and help with work and play.
